BLUE VOYAGE CUISINE ON TURKISH GULETS

The finest Turkish cuisine are freshly prepared by the chefs on turkey gulet charter cruises and beautifully presented. The Turkish cuisine is a fascinating blend of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine with Persian influences. The dishes served on our gullets dishes are authentic, varied, delicious and not to find the same quality even in the best restaurants ashore barely up. The enjoyment of these delicacies on board our gulets in the shade of an awning in a dreamy bay or in front of a picturesque fishing village makes every meal into a feast for all the senses.

After an early morning coffee or tea for early risers, the day starts with a rich Turkish breakfast, consisting of tomato and cucumber slices, cheese and cold cuts selection, various egg dishes, green and black olives, honey, jam, butter and bread. In addition, we serve cereals and cornflakes, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The traditional drink for breakfast black tea, but there are also freshly brewed filter coffee, milk and herbal teas. For lunch there is usually little dishes of traditional Turkish cuisine, prepared with fresh vegetables in olive oil: Green beans, stuffed with savory rice peppers, okra with tomatoes, pinto beans, eggplant stuffed with vegetables or minced meat, braised or Böreks (typical Turkish dishes from savory pastry) accompanied by refreshing yogurt with mint and garlic, savory Pilaws, crisp salads and fresh fruit. The afternoon tea or coffee served homemade cakes, pies and other pastries are simply irresistible, even if you are hungry yet again.

In the evening, the chef prepares a wonderful dinner, starting with the famous Turkish “meze” (appetizers) such as Eggplant salad, zucchini or carrots with garlic yogurt, purslane or samphire with a dressing of garlic, olive oil and lemon, courgette cakes, filled pastry rolls, shrimp cocktail, octopus salad. For the main course is meat (beef, lamb or chicken) or fish / seafood (eg sea bream, sea bass, swordfish, calamari, king prawns) served either grilled or oven, this aromatic side dishes and salads, followed by either fresh fruit or a Dessert like Rice pudding, almond cream or baklava (the famous pastry of phyllo dough filled with walnuts or pistachios)
